Hawaii currently has 173 across 90 different parks on the island of Oahu alone, with many of the courts being exclusively for pickleball.
With pickleball growing fast across the United States, Hawaii is shaping up to be one of the hottest destinations for the sport. While Honolulu and the island of Oahu are certainly the epicenter of the Hawaiian pickleball community, you can certainly find courts on all six of the main islands! From Lanai City to Lihue, there are plenty of public courts available across the islands.

There are a many fantastic pickleball courts throughout Hawaii. The islands’ natural beauty makes some of these courts dream destinations for pickleball enthusiasts. The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation has a list of all 173 public courts that you can check out.

Two parks in Oahu that have pickleball courts with permanent nets in place are the Mother Waldron Neighborhood Park and the Shigeo Ushiro Manana Neighborhood Park.

Holua Racquet & Paddle
The largest pickleball and tennis facility in Hawaii is Holua Racquet & Paddle, which is located in Kailua-Kona. The facility has seven lit tennis courts and 20 pickleball courts, eight of which have lights.
Holua Racquet & Paddle offer lessons and clinics if you’re looking to improve your skills, and they are also home to most of the major tournaments that are held in Hawaii. They’re located right by the ocean, and the surrounding community is full of shopping, restaurants, and lodging, making this the perfect destination for any type of vacation.
Diamond Head Tennis Center
Diamond Head Tennis Center in Honolulu is also another great place to play pickleball! While the majority of their courts are set up for tennis, they do have one dedicated pickleball court.
They are open to the public from 7am-2pm daily, and the courts are free to play on!

The Oahu Pickleball Association is the largest pickleball club in Hawaii. Their goal is to spread the love of pickleball to more of the Hawaiian population and to bring unity within Hawaiian communities through the sport.

The Ambassador’s Cup
This is a charity tournament held at Holua Racquet and Paddle in Kailua Kona, HI. The tournament consists of men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles round-robin brackets for skill levels 3.0+ and 4.0+. All proceeds of this event go towards supporting the Friends of First Responders charity organization.

This is Hawaii’s premier USAPA-sanctioned tournament, running three days during June at Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipahu, HI. The event features both junior boys and girls tournaments, along with men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles and singles tournaments. All events will be in the round-robin bracket format.
