Why Regular Glasses Aren’t Enough

You might think that your everyday eyeglasses or those trendy drugstore sunglasses are enough to protect your eyes, but that’s a big misconception.

First off, regular glasses are not designed to withstand the impact of a pickleball traveling at high speeds. If they’re not impact-rated, they could shatter on impact. Not only would you risk getting hit by the ball, but you’d also have to deal with broken glass near your eyes—definitely not a good situation.

Drugstore sunglasses might look stylish and offer some UV protection, but they lack the durability needed for sports. They can easily break or fall off your face during a game, leaving your eyes vulnerable.
