Roll Recovery Superplush Flip Flops
If you want something comfortable to wear after playing, this is an easy recommendation. It has great cushioning, solid support, and holds up well over time. The only real drawback is that some people may not love the toe post.

Take care of your feet, and they’ll take care of you. That’s something I learned after 40 years as a distance runner—and it holds true for pickleball too, on and off the court.
We’ve reviewed tons of court shoes, but never a recovery flip flop. Until now. After 3 months of wear-testing the Roll Recovery Superplush, I’m giving it a solid 4.75 out of 5 balls. It may look simple, but this thing is seriously engineered for post-game comfort.

The Special Ingredient
What really sets these flip flops apart is the use of BLOOM foam—an eco-friendly material made by blending EVA with algae.
This renewable resource grows fast, needs no chemicals, returns clean water to the environment, and mimics the feel and function of plastic—without the environmental cost. It’s smart, sustainable design from sole to strap.
First Impressions
From the moment I unboxed them, I had a feeling I’d be a fan. Solid build, lightweight feel, and a clean, casual design—understated but sharp. The sandal looks durable yet plush, with sculpted arch support and a deep heel cup that immediately felt ergonomic. I went with the sandstone two-tone, which looks even better in person.
The ridged big toe insert and built-in metatarsal support bar are smart design touches you don’t see in typical flip flops. My only hesitation? The vertical toe post—something that’s irritated me in the past. But ironically, it’s that very feature that lets me wear these snugly compared to most slides.

Once on, the cushioning was impressive. Despite having narrow feet, the wraparound design, toe ridge, and raised lip kept everything secure. The arch and heel cup felt spot-on, and the wide midfoot band was a huge upgrade from flimsy beach-style straps. The sole tread was simple but provided ample traction on a wet or dry surface.
Walking in them felt great—aside from a little expected toe post irritation, which most people probably won’t notice.
Wear Testing: Post-Play & Everyday Use
Over the past few months, I’ve worn these flip flops everywhere—post-pickleball, for errands, around the house, after showers, even on the boat. As expected, the toe post took a few wears to get used to, but the irritation faded quickly.
Comfort-wise, they strike a great balance: soft cushioning without sacrificing cradle or support. I especially appreciate the raised edge around the footbed—perfect for people like me who tend to bump their toes or heels on everything.
The wide midfoot band, toe ridge, and metatarsal support keep them snug, not floppy. Even wet surfaces didn’t pose a slipping issue. After nearly three months, they’ve held up great—no noticeable wear, and the cushioning still feels fresh. They’ve officially become my go-to recovery shoe after pickleball.
