Last Friday, February 10th, Paddletek formally announced its extended partnership with one of pickleball’s best athletes, Anna Leigh Waters. The young star will continue using her signature Paddletek paddle at all professional pickleball tournaments and events this year.
Today, Paddletek and Waters released a promo video to commemorate their collaboration.
Waters has worked with Paddletek since 2018 when she was just starting her career in pickleball. Now at just 16 years old, she is one of their top sponsored athletes.
Paddletek has been changing the pickleball paddle game since 2010, so it was only natural that they’d work with Waters to create one of her own. After determining all the qualities Waters was looking for in a quality paddle, Paddletek developed her signature model: The Bantam TS-5 Anna Leigh Waters Edition.
The aptly named Bantam TS-5 is a lightweight version of the EX-L, making it ideal for players looking for better control and speed. Anna Leigh is seen using her pro-model Bantam at every tournament, and will now continue to do so for all future events.
Waters continues to prove her prowess to the pickleball world. With back-to-back triple crown performances in the PPA Tour, Waters goes into this weekend’s PPA Carvana Arizona Grand Slam looking like a top contender.
Beyond the PPA, Waters is a rising star in Major League Pickleball (MLP) as well. Anna Leigh was selected first overall in the 2023 MLP draft by the New Jersey 5’s, who made it to the quarterfinals in the first league event at MLP Mesa.
Paddletek’s continued partnership with Waters means that big things are on the horizon for both parties. While Paddletek continues to be a leading pioneer in their field of pickleball equipment, Anna Leigh Waters will keep pushing the boundaries of pickleball by staying at the top of her game.
“I’m so excited to continue my relationship on and off the court with Paddletek. They have become like family to me and I cannot wait to debut my signature paddle line with Paddletek.”
