Pickleballers in and around Harrisburg, PA, will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing indoor facilities very soon, with two new courts having been announced in the last week.
The Ace Pickleball Club
Georgia-based Ace Pickleball Club has recently expanded by offering 10 franchises around the US, including Florida, Indiana, and the one in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The co-owner of the new Harrisburg development Bob Miller says they are still in the real estate development stage but will be planning to open the club towards the end of this year. The whereabouts of the new club will be announced very soon.
Ace Pickleball Club’s business is in the construction and operation of indoor pickleball clubs and has 19 developments in the pipeline, with the first one opening in Atlanta very soon.
Climate-Controlled Courts
The clubs will feature 8 to 16 regulation air-conditioned courts with music, live streaming, and instant replay facilities. Social and event spaces are also available for off-court activities.
The clubs are open year-round with unlimited open play available to members. They will provide members access to tournaments, clinics, leagues, social events, and glow-in-the-dark pickleball competitions!
Ace Pickleball Club estimates it will open at least five new clubs by the end of this year and 40 by the end of next year.
As if one club wasn’t enough, Smash Point Pickleball in Hampden Township plans to open its doors to the public in the summer.

Central Pennsylvania Clubs
These new operations will only add to the area’s strong pickleball presence. Here are five other pickleball courts you can visit right now in central Pennsylvania:
This new pickleball court at Veterans Park in Harrisburg opened in August 2022 and is located on the site of two former tennis courts. Players should bring their own equipment, which may not be available at the park.
2. Buchmiller Pickleball Courts
This court in Lancaster features six stations, a nearby parking lot, and a comfort area. A playground is nearby, ideal for occupying children while their parents play.
Brightbill Park is in Lower Paxton Township and has four pickleball courts that double as tennis courts (similar to Veterans’ Park). The lights are on until 10 p.m., allowing you to play late games.
4. Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park
Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park has beautiful views of Mechanicsburg, plenty of picnic tables, and also features biking and hiking trails. A Google review states it has “Great pickleball courts!”
Another park situated in Mechanicsburg, this location is well-equipped and features a sand volleyball court and a grill. Ideal for after-game cookouts!
