Pickleball continues to feature across the nation and here we bring you news of a tournament and a world record attempt happening this weekend, plus a free clinic next weekend and another tournament in March.
The Longest Continuous Game Of Pickleball!
Four Western Montana pickleball players are attempting to break the world record for the longest continuous game of pickleball.
The goal is to play for more than 30 hours, with the current record standing at 24.
The players are allowed to take a five-minute break for every hour of play, and they are allowed to stack the breaks and take them back to back.
The match will be recorded and sent to Guinness for verification.
Dave Cook, 56, Dory Lerew, 42, and Joe Fraser, 56, all from Missoula, plus Mike Nys, 53, of Corvallis, are attempting to set the record.
If you want to cheer them on, they’ll be playing at the Peak Racquet Club at 4990 Buckhouse Lane, Missoula, Montana 59804.

The Adorni Center Pickleball Tournament
Meanwhile, Eureka, California, will be hosting the Adorni Center Pickleball Tournament starting today at 9 a.m. It will continue tomorrow at the same time, with the close of play at 5 p.m. on both days.
Fees to participate are $20 per division (the registration fees include a catered lunch)
Participants must be aged 18 and above, and both players on a team must sign up individually.

Free Clinic In Richmond, California
Next weekend, the West County Salesian Youth Club at West County Salesian Youth Club, 2801 Moran Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804, is hosting a free clinic for adults and children in its gymnasium on Saturday, January 27.
Gizmo, a top nationally ranked player, will host “Pickleball by the Bay Clinic” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the youth club.

River City Classic Pickleball Tournament
River City Pickleball Club, Owensboro, Kentucky, is gearing up to host a new tournament this March.
The River City Classic Pickleball Tournament, presented by Baird Private Wealth Management, will run from March 8-10 at Merchant Centre Court, featuring divisions for all skill levels and ages.
The event is expected to draw 400 athletes from six states.
Event organizer Guy Durham said the tournament will bring together everyone from first-timers to avid tournament players for a three-day weekend full of fun and fellowship.
“Please join us in making lots of new friends and scratching that competitive itch,” he said.
A press release revealed the following itinerary:
Friday: Senior 50+ Day
- Focus on gender doubles.
- Friday evening open play for all participants.
- Friday evening, enjoy a delicious meal provided for all players.
Saturday: Gender Doubles
- Intense competition in gender-specific doubles matches.
Sunday: Mixed Doubles
- The excitement continues with mixed doubles matches on the final day.
5.0+ Open Division Payouts:
- Gold: $1,000
- Silver: $500
- Bronze: $300
