Pickleball continues to feature across the nation and here we bring you news of a tournament and a world record attempt happening this weekend, plus a free clinic next weekend and another tournament in March.

The Longest Continuous Game Of Pickleball!

Four Western Montana pickleball players are attempting to break the world record for the longest continuous game of pickleball.

The goal is to play for more than 30 hours, with the current record standing at 24.

The players are allowed to take a five-minute break for every hour of play, and they are allowed to stack the breaks and take them back to back.

The match will be recorded and sent to Guinness for verification.

Dave Cook, 56, Dory Lerew, 42, and Joe Fraser, 56, all from Missoula, plus Mike Nys, 53, of Corvallis, are attempting to set the record.

If you want to cheer them on, they’ll be playing at the Peak Racquet Club at 4990 Buckhouse Lane, Missoula, Montana 59804.

When I first started writing about pickleball, I hadn't appreciated the huge range of related features it encompasses: from building communities and players fighting against court closures to overcoming health challenges and raising money for charity, it's a whole new world! I love the stories about the smaller towns from the farthest-flung corners of the U.S. and how those residents have adopted pickleball to create friendships and community spirit.
