The 2024 PPA Tour will expand its circuit to 26 locations, introducing fresh destinations and also partnering with Major League Pickleball, marking a significant leap for professional pickleball.
Roller Coaster Journey
The season promises to be an exhilarating roller coaster journey as it kicks off on January 9 in Mission Hills, California, and concludes on December 5 in San Clemente, California.
Bristol, Tennessee (August 15-18), Virginia Beach, Virginia (March 20-24), and Sacramento, California. (June 6-9) stand out among the new cities on the PPA Tour roster, as they represent first-time visits to these areas in the circuit schedule.
Unforgettable Moments
Brian Clark, the PPA Tour Vice President, emphasizes their commitment to creating unforgettable moments every step of the way: “We strive to provide an extraordinary experience for the players, fans, team members, and venues at each PPA Tour stop,”
As the person in charge of logistical operations, Clark plays a pivotal role in strategizing and executing tournaments.
Further Alignment
Building on the successful collaborations of 2023, wherein the PPA and MLP shared venues on three occasions, we will see further alignment between the two entities this year.
Clark highlights the potential for even more success in the upcoming year: “2024 provides additional opportunities to be even more successful.
“With PPA and MLP sharing similar goals in providing players, fans, and venue members with extraordinary experiences, aligning on specific tactics and strategies in delivering those experiences depends on the communication between the two,” he says.
“I anticipate both teams working together to deliver those goals even more so in 2024.”
Three Tiers
The 2024 tournament structure comprises three tiers:
- The prestigious Hyundai Masters on January 9, designated as a 2,000-point tournament and one of the four “Slams” on the tour this year. The other Slams scheduled for 2024 are in Atlanta (May 14-19), Cincinnati (September 11-15), and Dallas (November 5-10).
- Additionally, there are six Cups (1,500-points) and fifteen Opens (1,000-points).
- Culminating the season are the PPA Finals, which are exclusively accessible to pros who qualify based on their rankings.
Enhancing Events And Experiences
Clark is keen to point out the PPA Tour‘s continuous desire to enhance events and experiences for all involved: “The PPA Tour has always been driven by the desire to provide better events and better experiences for all involved.
“I have witnessed those year-after-year improvements and am confident the PPA will continue to get better with every event that it holds.”
