The Glendale Valley in Arizona can now boast a major new pickleball facility courtesy of The Pickleball Space. The courts are located at 5665 W. Bell Road, with the grand opening held at 8 a.m. on December 26th.
Grand Opening
The 30,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility will feature 10 courts and a refreshment area providing coffee and ready-to-eat meals. This location also features a Pickleball Pro Shop, where players can buy or rent gear.
John Solema, Director of Development And Programs, told Nicole Guttierez of abc15.com, “We are thrilled to bring the Glendale community a welcoming space for players of all skill levels to experience the game of pickleball.
“Our vision is to deliver a warm and dynamic sense of community at our venue and to be a space where the game of pickleball can thrive.”
Academy Lessons
If you are a beginner, fret not, this place has an “Academy” with lessons starting at $30. Classes include group, private, semi-private, and small-group formats for players of all skill levels.
The Pickleball Space will be hosting a two-day Grand Opening Charity Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, January 20, and Sunday, January 21.
According to a release, 50% of the proceeds will benefit the C4 Foundation. The foundation provides resources and support to active-duty Navy SEALS and their families. Click here for more information on the tournament.

TPS Charity Pickleball Tournament
The TPS Charity Pickleball Tournament costs $40 per person and $10 per person for additional bracket registration.
This discounted price will be held until January 9th, with registration closing on January 12th.
Saturday Tournament
The tournament will commence on Saturday at 8 a.m
Participation is open to ages 10 + and will aim to feature 6-8 teams at each level. The tournament is DUPR-recorded.
The day will comprise men’s and women’s double with the following brackets:
Men’s: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+
Women’s: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0-4.5
Sunday Funday
The Sunday Funday will also start at 8 a.m.
As with Saturday, participation is open to ages 10 + and will aim to feature 6-8 teams at each level. The tournament is DUPR-recorded.
The day will comprise mixed doubles with the following brackets:
Mixed Doubles: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+.
Please note The Pickleball Space reserves the right to move people in or out of divisions based on DUPR ratings or may combine divisions, if necessary.
The minimum age is 12 and must have a parent or guardian present during all play.
You and your partner need to sign up separately and put each other’s names down on the sign-up page. If you both do not register, Pickleball Space cannot guarantee your team a spot.
