The “At Fault” pickleball facility is set to open in Farmers Branch,  Dallas County, Texas, in spring 2024.

Combining Pickleball And Entertainment

This 40,000-square-foot establishment will combine pickleball and entertainment and be the first of its name, not just in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex but nationwide.

Situated at 2330 Jett Street, the expansive facility will boast six indoor and four outdoor courts, complemented by three bars.

Dallas Chef John Franke

PR Newswire reported it also will house a 3,600-square-foot restaurant curated by acclaimed Dallas Chef John Franke, promising a top-tier culinary experience. Crafted with locally sourced ingredients, all dishes are specially prepared to order.

Franke commented, “The menu we’ve created with the At Fault team offers an elevated take on classic favorites across courtside shareables, hearty sandwiches and burgers, salads, as well as a brunch menu with both savory and sweet options. There’s truly something for everyone.”

An Enterprising Trio

Conceived by the enterprising trio of Chris Kostoulas, Bo Oh, and Dallas local Mario Simic, At Fault will occupy an as-yet untapped niche in the pickleball entertainment sector.

According to Simic, “At Fault will be unlike any other pickleball entertainment facility in DFW, with a scratch-made menu from Chef Franke and elevated cocktails, all within a social, old-school vibe.

“We welcome players of all skill levels to pick up a paddle for a match or come in to watch your favorite sports team on the big screens while enjoying a beer.”

“Playful Connotations”

The venue will also accommodate events of various sizes, offering multiple renting options based on party dimensions.

As Oh explained, “The name At Fault comes from a double entendre on making a mistake or a ‘fault’ in pickleball, and we found it to have other playful connotations that help it to stand out from other brands.

“We look forward to hosting all players, from a pick-up game on Saturday afternoon to large corporate team-building events.”

Ambitious Plans

At Fault has ambitious plans to unveil at least three more locations within the next 18 months in the DFW Metroplex.

About At Fault:

At Fault represents a high-end pickleball entertainment facility, seamlessly merging an upscale bar and restaurant experience with indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, all set in a nostalgic ambiance.

At Fault extends a warm welcome to players of all proficiency levels, accommodating novices taking their initial swing to adept players seeking to showcase their skills.

The inaugural At Fault location is intended to open in Farmers Branch in spring 2024, with a minimum of three additional establishments planned for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex within the next 18 months.

When I first started writing about pickleball, I hadn't appreciated the huge range of related features it encompasses: from building communities and players fighting against court closures to overcoming health challenges and raising money for charity, it's a whole new world! I love the stories about the smaller towns from the farthest-flung corners of the U.S. and how those residents have adopted pickleball to create friendships and community spirit.
