Pickle and Social opens their new location tomorrow, December 7, bringing metro Atlanta its first pickleball “eatertainment” venue with 16 indoor and outdoor courts, a restaurant and bar, a rooftop lounge, and a beer garden.
Apart from pickleball, Pickle and Social features a variety of other enticing social games like cornhole, ping pong, and shuffleboard. The restaurant and bar also allow you to relax and enjoy concessions between games.
The unique venue, situated within the Exchange at Gwinnett complex, offers a thrilling blend of sports and dining with 16 indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, a restaurant, bar, rooftop lounge, beer garden, and a central green space equipped with fire pits, TVs, and a stage for live music performances.
Competitive Social Ventures (or CSV), the company behind Pickle and Social, has rapidly expanded its operations and agreed to terms for a third venue in Alpharetta to open in 2025. They also plan for eleven new venues in major markets across the U.S., including two in Texas, Scottsdale, Florida, and South Carolina.
These developments feature seven Pickle and Social Venues, two Fairway Social Venues with virtual and simulated games of football, golf, soccer, and carnival games, and two Roaring Social Venues with a speakeasy vibe and live music, food, cocktails, and entertainment in major markets across the United States.
According to Brian Harper, the founder of Pickle and Social, their venues feature world-class pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor (climate-controlled), full-service restaurants, rooftop bars, dedicated event space, and ample green space.
Moreover, Pickle and Social’s founders are deeply committed to promoting the sport of pickleball, as reflected in their association with Chris Wolfe, a certified professional instructor and director currently serving as a USA Pickleball ambassador and co-owner of the Atlanta Pickleball Association. The sport’s growing popularity and appeal have encouraged Pickle and Social’s founders to open a second location in Alpharetta by 2025, allowing more Georgians to experience this emerging recreational trend.
The recent trend of mixing sports with dining is rapidly gaining popularity, with pickleball being the latest game to capture the public’s imagination. According to the Association of Pickleball Professionals, over 36 million people played pickleball between 2021 and 2022.
As the sport’s popularity continues to grow, entrepreneurs like the owners of Painted Pin and the Painted Duck in Atlanta have also taken notice. They are also set to open their pickleball venue, the Painted Pickle, by the end of the year. This venue will feature eight indoor courts, one outdoor court, a clubhouse with a pro shop and professional instructor, and complimentary games like darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, and a putting green. Like Pickle and Social, the Painted Pickle will also boast a stage for live music performances, making it a popular destination for sports and entertainment lovers.
