Pickleball in Colorado

As the fastest-growing sport in the United States, pickleball is really booming. The people of Colorado have taken to this quirky, sociable sport, with many new pickleball courts popping up from Denver to Colorado Springs.

Colorado is also home to Camp Pickle, a hybrid sports facility/eatery that combines pickleball courts with tasty food and drink. It’s the perfect place for a full evening with your friends and playing partners.

According to Tennis 365, Colorado is the fourth most pickleball happy state in the United States, behind only Utah, Arizona, and Florida.

With plenty of new pickleball courts cropping up across the state, along with lessons for new players and plenty of ways to make court reservations, it’s never been a better time to get into pickleball in Colorado!

Springs Pickleball

Springs Pickleball is the largest indoor pickleball facility in the Colorado Springs area. With nine indoor pickleball courts and a players lounge, pickleball complexes don’t get much better than Springs Pickleball.

They offer open play sessions for drop in play for forty hours a week. The cost is $10 for a two hour session. Alternatively, for $39 per month you can become a member, halving the cost of attending open play and giving you free access to the practice area and gym.

Springs Pickleball also offers lessons, leagues, and round robin tournaments. It is a great place for both men’s and women’s pickleball.

Monument Valley Park

Monument Valley Park has fifteen fantastic outdoor dedicated pickleball courts available for open play all year round.

Open play takes place throughout the mornings until 12pm, with any pickleball players allowed to show up and wait their turn for drop in play. Courts can be reserved in the afternoons.

The outdoor courts have an excellent lighting system, meaning pickleball players can enjoy the facilities at Monument Valley Park all the way up to 10pm in the evening.

YMCA of Pikes Peak

The Pikes Peak Region YMCA offers indoor pickleball courts for drop in play.

They also provide a $10 beginner clinic for anybody new to the game looking to learn out to play pickleball. They have locations in Briargate, Cottonwood Creek, and Tri-Lakes.
