Kansas Speedway is getting a new fan experience just as the NASCAR weekend comes around.

The popular autodrome is set to reveal the new Highline District situated in Turn One. The area will feature entertainment and refreshments and will allow racegoers to experience these things at the same time as they are watching the racing.

Alongside the live music and yard game zones, the most striking attraction will be two pickleball courts as part of a Chicken N Pickle.

The Highline District will be open to all Kansas Speedway ticket holders and campers from Saturday, May 6.

This area is already sold out for the AdventHealth 400 on May 7. However, tickets are still available for the ARCA Menards Series/NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series doubleheader on Saturday, May 6.

Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren said, “We are so excited about providing this revolutionary upgrade to our fan experience, We will continue looking for ways to making it even better in the months ahead as we create fun opportunities for fans to make memories that last a lifetime.”

Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway is a motorsports complex located in Kansas City, Kansas, USA. The track first opened in 2001 and is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) tri-oval with 17 to 20-degree banking in the turns. The inaugural race was the ARCA RE/MAX (now ARCA Menards Series) held on June 2, 2001

It is one of only two race tracks in the country that is privately owned and operated, the other being Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Over the years, the track has hosted several NASCAR events, including the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as other racing events.

The track’s layout and facilities have undergone several upgrades and improvements since its inception, including the addition of lights for night racing and the construction of a new infield garage area.

Chicken N Pickle

Chicken N Pickle is a restaurant and entertainment venue that was founded in 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. The concept was created by two entrepreneurs who wanted to combine their love of pickleball with their passion for food and drink.

According to Chicken N Pickle managing partner Chase Watson, founder David Johnson was exploring different eatertainment concepts with the intention of developing his own. A friend of Johnson’s from Arizona introduced him to pickleball while he was searching for business ideas.

This sport has experienced tremendous growth in popularity, particularly in the Sun Belt region. Johnson recognized the potential of combining his love for food and drink with the social and recreational aspects of pickleball, leading him to create the unique concept of Chicken N Pickle.

The first Chicken N Pickle location opened in North Kansas City and quickly gained a following, leading to the opening of several other locations across the Midwest. In addition to serving food and drink, the venues feature multiple indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, as well as other games and activities.

Chicken N Pickle has become a popular destination for casual dining, socializing, and recreation.

When I first started writing about pickleball, I hadn't appreciated the huge range of related features it encompasses: from building communities and players fighting against court closures to overcoming health challenges and raising money for charity, it's a whole new world! I love the stories about the smaller towns from the farthest-flung corners of the U.S. and how those residents have adopted pickleball to create friendships and community spirit.
