DC Pickleball Team (DCPT), a Challenger Level team of Major League Pickleball (MLP), has just announced its official coffee partnership with the Barstool Sports brand, Stella Blue Coffee. DCPT sported the Stella Blue logo on their jerseys during their first big MLP event this past weekend at MLP Mesa.
Stella Blue Coffee was created by Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take Podcast host, Dan “Big Cat” Katz, who was inspired by his love for coffee to create a brand of his own. Stella Blue Coffee’s logo features a distinct image of his dog Stella who he rescued from PAWS Chicago animal shelter. A portion of all proceeds made from Stella Blue Coffee goes towards supporting PAWS Chicago’s cause of helping homeless pets find forever homes.
DCPT is now officially powered by Stella Blue Coffee, and the Stella logo will be featured on their uniforms throughout the 2023 MLP season. DC Pickleball Team played well in their first event tournament appearance at MLP Mesa, finishing 1-2 in the group stage of the event.
As MLP teams grow and expand with the league this season, it’s expected that many of them will begin to pick up sponsorships to promote their brand’s growth. Stella Blue Coffee and DC Pickleball Team partnering up is one of the first of many exciting sponsorship deals to be made, and we look forward to seeing what other companies get involved with MLP teams moving forward.
Hopefully, this new partnership with Stella Blue Coffee will continue to propel DCPT forward in the next big event in the 2023 MLP Season One. MLP Daytona will take place March 23-26 at the famous Pictona at Holly Hill, one of the nation’s largest pickleball facilities. Stay tuned to the MLP’s website for future updates on the event, as well as right here at Pickleball Union for event updates and recaps.
