The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) and Pickleball United have reinforced their collaboration, with Pickleball United now serving as the Official Court Provider of the APP Next Gen platform.
Innovative Infrastructure Equipment
In November 2022, Pickleball United, renowned for its innovative pickleball infrastructure equipment, initially partnered with the APP as the Official Court Provider for the APP Tour – a 16-stop tour catering to elite professionals, senior professionals, and amateurs.
Pickleball United’s True Courts have consistently delivered high-performance playing surfaces at various APP events, including The Boca Raton 2023 APP New York City Open, which took place at the esteemed USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Now, their partnership extends to APP Next, the APP’s flagship platform for youth development.
The APP introduced the APP Next Gen Series in 2021, showcasing prize-money tournaments complemented by educational seminars to mentor all participants with aspirations of pursuing a professional pickleball career.
“Wholly Committed”
Geared primarily towards players aged 16-23, the APP Next Gen Series is wholly committed to nurturing America’s future pickleball champions through targeted skill development, mentorship, and financial backing. Recently, the APP unveiled its 2023 APP Next Gen National Team, consisting of 12 of the most promising pickleball professionals from the nation. You can read our analysis of the 12 players here.
So far, the 2023 APP Next Gen Series has successfully held two events: one in San Antonio from February 17 to 19 and another in Kansas City from July 7 to 9. The APP’s final Next Gen Series event for 2023 is scheduled to take place in Dallas from November 17 to 19.
