Super Bowl champions Rob Gronkowski and Patrick Chung have been announced as the main attractions at a pickleball charity event to be held in April.
Test Your Skill Against The Gronk!
If you would like the chance to pit your pickleballing wits against the former Patriots players and raise money for a good cause, simply enter to play at an event hosted by fellow former Patriots player Rob Ninkovich and his podcast partner Dan O’Brien.
The duo is hosting the “Pickleball Party” at PKL in South Boston on Tuesday, April 9, from 6-9 p.m. The event will feature food, drink, pickleball, and – most importantly — the “considerable” pickleball talents of Gronkowski and Chung.
The event aims to raise money for the Gronk Youth Foundation, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and the Jimmy Fund.
An Online Donation
To have the chance to take part in the event, teams must make an online donation, with each of the top fundraising teams receiving an entry to win tickets to attend the private party, where the overall winner will face off against Gronkowski and Chung on the pickleball court.
Prizes are awarded based on the teams’ fundraising totals between February 1 and April 1. The top team will also receive an autographed football, a signed pickleball paddle, and 10 guaranteed spots to the Pickleball Party.
You can also secure your spot at the Pickleball Party by making a $870 donation. More information about the event and how to donate can be found here.
Winning Hearts And Minds
The Gronk keeps winning hearts and minds off the field even two years after his retirement. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ tight end was a force to be reckoned with in his prime, and he continues to be a man of the people.
On his Instagram story, Gronkowski announced the details of the newest event that he is hosting. Titled “Play Pickleball with Gronk,” it will give the fans a chance to play with one of the best tight ends of the NFL and ensure that the money goes towards a good cause.

The Gronk Nation Youth Foundation
The Gronk Nation Youth Foundation was started by the efforts of the five Gronkowski men. Their mission reads, “[The Foundation] is dedicated to inspiring youth to reach their maximum potential through sports, education, community and fitness.
“Our mission is to help kids stay actively involved in school and sports and provide them with the tools needed to help them follow their dreams and live a happy and more successful life.”
With all that said, the fans continue to miss the dynamic duo of Gronk-Brady. But while neither man will be wearing their Bucs jerseys anytime soon, he has talked about reuniting with Brady at Fox Sports since both athletes have signed a deal to join the network as analysts.
Quite Spectacular
All donors who make a gift of $25 or more will receive 1 entry for the chance to win a football signed by Gronk (1 winner will be chosen). You can see the other fundraising incentives if you click on this link.
Some of them are really quite spectacular, as you can see from this example: Teams raising $2,500 will get two entries for the chance to win two spots to attend the Pickleball Party with Gronk as spectators (10 teams will be drawn).
