Chase APP Miami Pickleball Open
The 2024 APP Tour continues today with the Chase APP Miami Pickleball Open, which will run until March 24 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This event is the APP’s inaugural Major tournament of the year and will feature amplified prize pools and draws for professionals. Additionally, it holds the distinction of being a USA Pickleball Golden Ticket event, granting gold medalists the privilege to pre-register for the USAP National Championships in November.

In addition, the APP is rolling out the red carpet for Grammy Award-winning reggae sensation Shaggy and local music luminary DJ Irie. They’re set to headline the APP Pickleball Beats Presented by Chase. Tickets for the March 22 concert at 8 p.m. ET at Island Gardens in Miami are available now.
Players of all ages and skill levels, from amateurs to elite pros and contenders in the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) Divisions, will compete.
APP Atlantic Cup
Running alongside the Chase APP Miami Pickleball Open is the groundbreaking APP Atlantic Cup, an international showdown of epic proportions. In the inaugural international team competition in pickleball, Team USA will clash with Team Europe in a lineup of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches.
Defending APP Tour gold medalists Andrei Daescu, Will Howells, Jorja Johnson, JW Johnson, and Gabriel Tardio will be joined by other familiar faces from the APP Tour, including Susannah Barr, Shelby Bates, Judit Castillo, John Cincola, Ryler DeHeart, Jack Foster, Megan Fudge, Simone Jardim, Hunter Johnson, Yates Johnson, Brendon Long, Chris Haworth, Mari Humberg, Bobbi Oshiro, Milan Rane, Will Sobek, Alix Truong, and members of the APP Next Gen National Team—all geared up for action in the 305.
NP Sin City Classic
The National Pickleball Sin City Classic Powered by Onix also gets underway this weekend. At the time of writing, a huge 273 players had registered for the event, which is also part of the Senior Pro Tour.
The tournament takes place at Sunset Park, 2601 Sunset Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120.
Today’s play will comprise the women’s doubles, men’s singles, and senior pro men’s and women’s singles, while tomorrow sees the mixed doubles and senior pro women’s and men’s doubles. The event closes on Sunday with the men’s doubles, women’s singles, and senior pro mixed doubles.
Virginia Super Regional
The DUPR Collegiate Pickleball circuit continues tomorrow with the Virginia Super Regional. Play will start at 10am and finish at 2pm on Sunday.
The format is as follows:
For the Team Bracket, schools will bring teams of 2-3 men and 2-3 women players to compete for scholarship money and a bid to the Collegiate National Championship. Teams will play at least three group play games, and then the best-performing teams from group play will advance to the single-elimination playoffs.
Open doubles teams play in the Challenger Bracket if they can’t make a team for the Team Bracket. A player cannot play in both the Team Bracket and the Challenger Bracket.
There is also the added incentive of a $60,000 scholarship for the national champions.
Team Bracket: $2,500 (1st), $1250 (2nd), $500 (3rd & 4th), $250 (5th-8th) Challenger Bracket: $250 (1st).
National Junior Pickleball SW Regional
The National Junior Pickleball Southwest Regional Powered by DUPR is in Tempe, Arizona, until March 24. NJP events are more than just a competition; they are a place to meet other Juniors and their families across the region and join the growing Junior Pickleball Community.
This juniors-only tournament is for players ages 8-18 of all levels, beginner through advanced. The event features pro clinics, evaluations, singles and doubles, a 4-player team event, and lots of fun!
