About Tyson McGuffin
JOOLA Pro Tyson McGuffin, 31, is one of professional pickleball’s most accomplished figures.
Transitioning from a background as a 5.5 ranked tennis player to the #1 ranking in men’s pro pickleball doubles and holds the #2 spot in men’s singles.
Hailing from Lake Chelan, Washington, Tyson McGuffin emerged as a natural athlete in a family deeply rooted in wrestling. Despite excelling in wrestling during his early and high school years, Tyson ventured into college tennis, clinching two state titles for Lake Chelan in tennis during his junior and senior years.
Tyson coached tennis for six years before his introduction to pickleball. His rapid ascent in the sport was evident from the outset, clinching Silver in Men’s Pro Singles at his debut USAPA Nationals tournament as a pro.
He is an IPTPA and PPR certified coach and teaches through ventures such as Tyson McGuffin Signature PB Camps, TM PB Coaching, and The Tyson McGuffin Show Podcast.
Married to Megan McGuffin, Tyson is a father to three children: Skyler, 13; Ty, six; and Banks, one month.
