Who Owns Engage Pickleball?

Engage Pickleball is a family-run company that makes pickleball equipment and runs camps and clinics. The founders of Engage Pickleball are Robert, Jodi, Joshua, and Rachel Elliot.

Co-founder Robert Elliot is the driving force behind the research and development of Engage Pickleball products, integrating the principles of applied physics and overseeing paddle design, R&D, engineering, and manufacturing.

Robert Elliot also has a role with the International Federation of Pickleball as Director of Training and Instructor Certification.

The Story of Engage Pickleball

The Elliot family started playing pickleball when Jodi’s parents sent her a starter set to play on their drive in Massachusetts. When they later moved to Florida, they began to play at The Village, where pickleball soon became ingrained into their family life.

All four of the members of the Elliot family have won multiple medals in USAPA tournament play, giving them insight into the dedication required to play professional pickleball.

Being accomplished pickleball players also gives them insight into racquet design, including materials, core construction, and how to make the best pickleball paddles that conform to USAPA guidelines.

Company growth

Engage Pickleball was founded in 2015. The company maintains a tight focus on innovation and research and development, and their focus on quality equipment has paid off in terms of growing market share of the $148 million dollar pickleball paddle market.

Engage Pickleball is also focused on growing the pickleball community. Every year a percentage of their sales goes towards outreach causes and supporting the men and women of the armed forces.

Engage Pickleball Camps

As well as creating pickleball paddles and other products, Engage Pickleball also runs pickleball camps to help players develop their skills and continue to grow the game. Their website claims that Engage Pickleball is the largest pickleball training provider in the world.

Engage Pickleball camps are split into three categories:

  • Advanced Beginners Camp (skill level 2.0-2.9)
  • Standard Camp (3.0-4.0)
  • Advanced Camp (4.0+)

Most of Engage Pickleball’s camps fall into the ‘standard camp’ category. These camps are tailored more towards players with some experience who are looking to improve rather than those new to the game and looking to learn the basics.

As well as the camps based in the USA, Engage also runs ‘stay and play’ camps which take place at all-inclusive resort locations like Port St Lucie, Costa Rica, and Jamaica.

Engage Pickleball Products

Engage Pickleball provides two types of pickleball paddles: Engage paddles and Omega paddles.

Engage paddles are for those looking for the best performance a pickleball paddle can provide. They have a large sweet spot, innovative paddle design, and premium materials.

Omega paddles are the more cost-effective option, still providing excellent performance but with fewer premium materials and manufacturing (and at a less premium cost).

Engage paddles come in a number of different models, including:

  • Engage Poach Infinity LX/MX/EX/SX
  • Engage Encore MX/EX/Pro
  • Engage Pursuit EX/MX/RX/SX
  • Engage Trident
