Location

Located on the Southwestern side of Yucca Valley, Hoopa House is perfectly secluded, offering ample privacy and being close to surrounding attractions. Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs are only a short half-hour drive away, and the neighboring historical town of Pioneertown is right down the road.

The gorgeous San Gogonio Mountain range, home to a diverse desert ecosystem, surrounds Hoopa House. You’ll be immersed in the desert foliage of Joshua trees and cacti, making the house feel like an oasis.

Safety Note: While the Mojave Desert is beautiful, it’s also important to understand that it is home to many forms of wildlife you may not be used to. Rattlesnakes, bobcats, and coyotes are commonly seen, so please be highly attentive to avoid confrontation. Be careful around the cacti; believe me, you do NOT want to be spending your getaway plucking out cholla needles.

Cost and Check-In

Renting out the Hoopa House will cost $428 per night. This fee includes access to the entire property and its featured amenities.

Self-check-in is offered, with check-in time starting after 4 pm, and checkout is anytime before 11 am the day after your stay. The rental has a 2-night minimum stay, but Hoopa House does offer extended stay deals if you’d like to spend a lot of time getting to know the Joshua Tree area.

Pickleball and Outdoor Entertainment

Let’s talk about the star of the show: the pickleball court. 

The court is located directly alongside the house and outdoor patio, making it both easily accessible and also perfect for maintaining a social atmosphere with those who aren’t interested in participating. A courtside patio area with cozy lounge chairs is the ideal spot to sip a cocktail in between games.

If you’re going all out and want to host a serious backyard pickleball tournament, Hoopa has got you covered! They ensured that the court was up to USA Pickleball court regulations and fenced in to ensure that you wouldn’t spend too much time chasing down balls.

You can break up the pickleball action with various other outdoor activities. The property also offers a full-size bocce ball, a 9-hole disc golf course, and a corn hole. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s also Hawk’s Landing Golf Club just down the road, which offers a beautiful 12-hole course.

After you’ve dominated the competition in your pickleball-bocce-frisbee-golf showdown, you can relax in various ways outside. Hoopa House has a large hot tub adjacent to the pickleball court, two cowboy-style bathtubs, a large outdoor bed, and a cozy hammock.

Rooms

The Hoopa House offers four bedrooms, each with a distinctive layout. Two bedrooms provide a giant king bed, one room has a cozy queen bed with a window overlooking the pickleball court, and the fourth bedroom has adjacent queen-sized beds. 

There is also a comfy sofa bed in the living room that leads out onto the outdoor patio. All the sleeping areas are thoughtfully decorated in Southwestern stylings with modern sensibility.

Other Amenities

The Hoopa House has thought to include everything you’d need for a cozy desert escape.

Beyond the fun flair in the pickleball court and the coziness of the room accommodations, there are plenty of other things to get excited about on the property. 

Kitchen: The house has new appliances and everything you’d need to cook your favorite meals. An island features an oven and cooktop with a connected countertop and three barstools. A small dining area is also connected that can accommodate another 6-8 people.

Dining Room: A large dining room is connected to the living room and kitchen. In the center, a beautiful wooden dining table will comfortably seat about ten people. The room also features a vintage piano, record table, and retro slot machine.

Living Room: The living room is centrally located between the kitchen, dining room, and door to the outdoor patio. The room has plenty of comfortable couches and chairs, a fireplace, and plenty of windows to view the scenery.

Outdoor Patio: The patio area has several lounge areas, a fire pit, an outdoor dining table, and a BBQ grill. Several strands of lights will keep your party going late into the evening.
