The Area V Agency on Aging at Southeast Idaho Council of Governments (SICOG) is organizing a fundraiser pickleball tournament to help raise funds to support vital programs for vulnerable seniors throughout the region.
Dink And Rally Pickleball Tournament
The Dink and Rally Pickleball Tournament will run September 22nd to 23rd at the Mountain View Event Center, 1567 Way to Grace Avenue, Pocatello, ID 83201 (Phone: +1 208-235-7659).
Area Agency on Aging director Mike Hirschi said, “(Pickleball) is a good way to be active, whether we’re older adults or not. I mean, we all are aging the minute we’re born, so it’s just a good way to bring forth that intergenerational activity that we might not always be thinking of.”
Intern Danny Kell added, “This was one event that I thought we could bring in some money for some local seniors and some needs that we have in that area, but also just have some fun and play some pickleball.”
