The Villages Pickleball Expo ’23
The Villages Pickleball Expo ’23 is scheduled for later this month in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
The expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Rohan Recreation Center.
This event, which is free of charge, provides pickleball enthusiasts with an opportunity to stay updated on technological advancements in this popular sport.
Additionally, there will be hands-on demonstrations of techniques and information about upcoming tournaments and programs.
The Rochester Pickleball Classic
The Rochester Pickleball Classic will occur on Saturday, October 14, at the Mayo Civic Center, 30 Civic Center Dr SE, Rochester, Minnesota 55904.

Rochester Mayor Kim Norton will inaugurate the tournament by serving the first ball. The competition will unfold across 10 courts.
Pickleball for Paws
The Carthage Humane Society and the Carthage Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting “Pickleball for Paws” commencing at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, and at 9 a.m. on Sunday, 15, at Griggs Park, 316 W Centennial Ave, Carthage, MO 64836.

Dink for Pink!
Angelo State University’s Office of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health (LWBIWH) will be organizing a “Dink for Pink!” fundraising event on Sunday, October 22, at Bentwood Country Club, 2111 Club House Lane, San Angelo, TX 76904.
This event includes pickleball and tennis players of all ages and skill levels. The activities will commence with a one-hour pickleball beginners clinic at 2 p.m., followed by pickleball and tennis match play from 3-5 p.m.
The entry fees are $45 for the clinic and match play and $30 for match play only. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The proceeds from the event will contribute to breast cancer awareness in the Concho Valley.
Participants can register in advance and make payments at angelo.edu/dink-for-pink or sign up and pay on the day of the event.
“Dink for Pink!” is co-sponsored by Family Power Sports and Theimer Stock & Game.
Since 2010, the ASU Office of the LWBIWH has been actively promoting women’s health in the Concho Valley through scientific research, translating science into practice, and providing outreach and services that positively impact the community.
Chicken & Pickle Fundraiser
The Southern Saratoga YMCA is organizing a Chicken & Pickle fundraiser on Thursday, November 2, at 1 Wall St, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
Both members and non-members can enjoy a delectable Brooks BBQ chicken dinner and engage in an evening of pickleball, all for $35.
Patrons can pick up their meals anytime between 4 and 6 p.m.

Pickleball will kick off at 5:30 p.m. in a round-robin format. The YMCA suggests prompt registration as there are only 16 spots available. This fundraiser will be conducted outdoors, weather permitting.

Minneapolis Pickleball And Block Party
A free-to-attend pickleball and dance block party is set to enliven downtown Minneapolis this weekend. This two-day event will be hosted on 1st Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets on Friday, October 6, and Saturday, 7.
The public can showcase their dance moves on Friday night in a high-energy outdoor dance party and indoor pop-up cycle class.
The following day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., pickleball courts, bleachers, and sports instructors will commandeer the block.
Saturday’s schedule:
– A variety of pickleball from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
– Professional instructors will be on-site teaching Pickleball 101.
