The professional pickleball world has had quite the weekend. Late Thursday night, Major League Pickleball (MLP) announced it had made lucrative, multi-year contract offers to a few top players. While this may seem logical and beneficial in the sport, it’s much more complicated. MLP and the largest professional pickleball entity, the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), have a contentious history but were negotiating a merger.
