The NYA is offering a series of Pickleball Bootcamps, specifically catering to beginner-level players wanting to learn the fundamentals of the sport. Managed by IPTPA or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified PB Instructors, these clinics will provide new players with the necessary skills and knowledge to begin their pickleball journey.
The Tuesday evening five-week session includes 10 hours of instructional court time spread across five two-hour on-court training sessions. The program begins with an evaluation and assessment of new players, covering the FUNdamentals and rules regarding match play.
Players will learn all about the 3-Ds of Pickleball, including how to serve (legal vs. illegal serves), how to return serves, transitioning to the “kitchen” (no-volley zone), dinking, and scoring.
The sessions run on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm until May 2, 2023 (excluding April 18, 2023). Why not go along, especially as USA Pickleball has declared April “National Pickleball Month?”
The price for the entire program is $250 per session. Whether you’re new to pickleball or looking to improve your skills, the NYA Fitness and Fitness Center Pickleball Bootcamps are an excellent opportunity to learn and grow as a player.
NYA runs other pickleball bootcamps for level 2 players and will also be featuring a King/Queen Ladder League held every Thursday evening from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
