The 2023 USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship, presented by Fortune Tires, is scheduled for December 3rd to December 10th, 2023.
The event will be hosted by Pictona at Holly Hill in Florida, known for its excellent facilities and boasting 49 courts.
Golden Tickets
Gold medalists of the Diamond Amateur Championship will receive Golden Tickets, granting them the privilege of pre-registering for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championship.

Registration for the event follows a three-phase schedule:
– Phase 1: Pre-registration for all Diamond Regional Gold and Silver Passport winners will be open from October 9th to 11th, 2023. Registration can be completed on Pickleball Brackets.
– Phase 2: A lottery system will be implemented for all Diamond Regional Tournament Participants from October 13th to 15th, 2023.
– Phase 3: Open Registration will commence on October 17, 2023.
2022 Edition In Pictona
To be eligible for the USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship, Gold Medalists from the 2022 edition in Pictona must have completed their registration for the confirmed brackets of the 2023 USA Pickleball National Championships before September 8, 2023.
Other players from the 12 Diamond Amateur Regional tournaments, as well as the 2022 Diamond Amateur Championships, can register before the same date for lottery consideration.

All players must make their payment at the time of registration to secure their spot on the non-confirmed list and be included in the lottery scheduled for September 8, 2023.
Additionally, all participants must hold current USAP memberships.
Medals And Pre-Registration For Gold And Silver Medalists
Regarding player information, combined brackets in the Diamond Regionals will award medals and offer pre-registration for Gold and Silver medalists.
Those participating in a 2023 Diamond Regional tournament prior to August 1, 2023, become eligible for the lottery for the 2023 USA Pickleball National Championship. Players participating after August 1, 2023, become eligible for the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championship lottery.
Similarly, combined brackets in the Diamond Amateur Championship will award medals. Gold medal winners of all brackets, including combined bracket winners, will receive Golden Tickets to the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships.
Diamond Passports
Players registered to play in 70+, 75+, or 80+ brackets in a Diamond Regional tournament will receive a Diamond Passport to the Diamond Amateur Championships if the bracket must be combined due to a shortage of teams.
It’s worth noting that a doubles player is not obligated to play with the same partner they earned eligibility with for Phase I pre-registration. However, if the new partner did not qualify for Phase I pre-registration, the doubles team must register in either Phase II or III.

In terms of the event format, all events, including singles, will follow a pool-play format. A round-robin bracket will be implemented if there aren’t enough teams for pool play.
Top Four Teams
The top four teams from each pool or round-robin bracket will progress to the next round. All pool-play and pre-medal matches will be one game to 15, with a requirement to win by two points.
Medal matches will be decided by the best two out of three games, requiring a two-point margin.
The gold-medal winners in each event will receive a Golden Ticket for the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships. The event will adopt an MMP format to provide referees for all matches.
